Zahed Fettah

Imam Zahed Fettah is a dedicated scholar with a strong foundation in both Islamic and secular studies. After memorizing the Qur’an, he earned an LLB in Law from the University of Birmingham. He then pursued a BA in Islamic Law from the European Institute of Human Sciences and an MA in Islamic Studies from Newman University (Markfield Institute). Currently, he is a PhD researcher at Swansea University, specializing in Islamic law and the Hadith tradition.

Imam Zahed has completed two years of Ifta specialization in Hanafi Fiqh and holds ijazas in various Islamic disciplines, particularly Hadith. He has studied at Dar al-Hadith in Algeria and spent over a decade learning traditional Islamic sciences from scholars in the UK. He currently serves as the Imam of the Muslim Community of Folsom.

Yousef Hussin

Born and raised in the United States, Imam Yousef Hussin embarked on his Islamic studies in Egypt, where he attended Al-Azhar University and studied various Islamic sciences with scholars outside the university. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing another degree in the Faculty of Shariah at the Islamic University of Medina.

Imam Yousef has received numerous ijazat (licenses), including an ijazah in several modes of Qur’anic recitation from Sheikh Waleed Al-Meneese and Sheikh Sherzaad Tahir. He continues to study Qur’anic recitation at the Qur’an Academy in Sharjah. In addition to his role as a teacher at Zidni Islamic Institute, he has previously served as an Imam in Sacramento and is currently an Imam at the Muslim Community of Folsom.
