Purpose: To introduce skiing, snowboarding, and the love of outdoor activities to the MCF community and to facilitate bonding via a family-oriented event in a safe, fun, and halal environment. This event is open to everyone — all youth, families & friends are welcome! And it’s never too early or late to learn how to ski or snowboard! (Disclaimer: Children under 16 will require a parent or guardian to go with them on the mountain.)
IF I DON’T WANT TO SKI OR SNOWBOARD, CAN I STILL GO?
Yes! For those who do not wish to commit to a snow activity, MCF has booked an exclusive indoor space at the lodge, where everyone can enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe while staying warm, drinking hot chocolate, or having breakfast or lunch while spending time with family and friends. Other activities on the mountain include snow tubing and sledding. These activities (tubing/sledding) are first come, first serve, and are not included in our group rate and will cost $60 for 90 mins.
I AM COMPLETELY NEW TO ALL OF THIS. WHICH PACKAGE DO YOU RECOMMEND?
The packages listed below include lessons, rental, and lift tickets at a discounted price. Please choose the appropriate package for children under 13 years old based on their age (Pioneer or Explorer). For those who are ages 13+ and are new to skiing or snowboarding, the Learn to Ski (skiing) or Learn to Ride (snowboarding) packages are the best choice. This will give you a 2-hour lesson, equipment rental, and access to the beginner parts of the mountain (bunny hills/slopes), which are perfect for the first time. If you have skied/snowboarded once or twice but still need a refresher, then the All Mountain Ski Lesson or All Mountain Snowboard Lesson packages may be better, as you will have full access to all the lifts after your lesson. Lift ticket and gear rental pricing are listed below as well.
IF THIS IS MY FIRST TIME, DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR A LESSON?
Yes! Lessons are REQUIRED for all beginners. Skiing and snowboarding are very fun sports, and lessons will teach you how to maximize your fun while ensuring you stay safe. Skiing is easier to learn than snowboarding for those that are unsure which sport to pick.
WHEN/HOW DO I PAY?
This is a signup sheet ONLY. Payment will be made at a later date. We need you to complete the form by Saturday, January 14th in order to secure our spots with Sierra at Tahoe Resort.
